About Us
Smart Data is a technology consulting and talent solutions firm that partners with organizations to solve complex business and technology challenges. For more than 20 years, we’ve supported clients through software development, technology consulting, project delivery, and highly specialized technical talent solutions.
Our teams work closely with clients and consultants to build long-term partnerships, deliver high-quality technology solutions, and connect talented professionals with meaningful opportunities. We value collaboration, technical excellence, continuous improvement, and people who are comfortable taking ownership in fast-moving environments.
Role Overview
We are seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer who can own key components of the integration lifecycle—from service and API design through data mapping, orchestration, testing, deployment, and production support.
The ideal candidate brings strong hands-on C#/.NET, SQL, and Azure experience along with enough front-end familiarity to contribute across the full stack. You should be comfortable taking ownership from requirements through production, independently solving complex technical problems, and continuously identifying opportunities to improve reliability, performance, and engineering productivity.
Experience connecting enterprise platforms—including CRM systems, third-party data sources, and modern integration or agentic workflow technologies—is highly valued. We’re also looking for someone who embraces AI-assisted development and is comfortable using AI tools as part of their day-to-day engineering workflow.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain integrations between Salesforce and surrounding enterprise systems, third-party data platforms, and customer communication tools
- Reverse-engineer existing middleware integration flows and rebuild them on the target integration platform
- Build and orchestrate agentic workflows that execute multi-step business logic across Salesforce and connected systems
- Establish integration patterns, standards, and reusable components for the broader engineering team
- Develop back-end services, APIs, and business logic using C# and .NET
- Write, optimize, and troubleshoot SQL, including schema design, queries, stored procedures, and performance tuning
- Build and support front-end functionality as needed
- Deploy, operate, and support applications and integrations within Azure
- Use AI coding assistants and agentic tooling throughout the development lifecycle and contribute to how these tools are adopted across the team
- Implement Git-based CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and code review practices
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and product owners to align on interfaces, requirements, and delivery sequencing
- Document integration flows, data mappings, API contracts, and operational procedures
- Monitor and troubleshoot production integrations, including error handling, retries, and data reconciliation
Required Qualifications
- Strong hands-on software development experience
- Strong C# and .NET development experience
- Advanced SQL experience with SQL Server or a comparable relational database
- Demonstrated experience designing, building, and supporting system integrations and REST APIs
- Experience developing and deploying applications within the Azure cloud ecosystem
- Experience with Git-based source control and CI/CD practices
- Practical, day-to-day experience using AI coding assistants such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or similar tools
- Front-end familiarity with Angular, React, or a comparable modern framework
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and problem-solving skills
- U.S. Citizenship required; sponsorship is not available for this position
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with integration middleware and related patterns, including MuleSoft, Boomi, Workato, Azure Integration Services, Logic Apps, or comparable technologies
- Experience migrating integration workloads from one middleware platform to another
- Experience building or orchestrating AI agents and agentic workflows
- Salesforce development or integration experience, including Apex, Lightning Web Components, Platform Events, or Salesforce APIs
- Experience supporting a CRM migration or replatforming initiative
- Healthcare, pharmacy, or payer industry experience, including familiarity with PHI and HIPAA requirements
- Experience with messaging and event-driven technologies such as Azure Service Bus, RabbitMQ, or Kafka
- Experience working within Agile/Scrum environments
- Consulting or client-facing delivery experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, a related technical field, or equivalent professional experience
